This report was developed and written by Karen Hamrick, National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES), National Science Foundation. Data from the Survey of Earned Doctorates, Survey of Graduate Students and Postdoctorates in Science and Engineering, and the Early Career Doctorates Survey were produced by RTI International. Estimates using the Survey of Doctorate Recipients were produced by Westat. Estimates using the National Survey of College Graduates were produced by Greg Orlofsky, Census Bureau. Estimates using the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System and those using the Current Population Survey were produced by Steve Deitz, Christina Freyman, Paul Liu, and Emily Mellicant, all at SRI International. The production of data from the National Survey of College Graduates, Survey of Doctorate Recipients, and Early Career Doctorates Survey was performed by Nguyen Tu Tran, DMI, under the direction of Devi Mishra, NCSES. Production of data from NCSES survey programs was done under the supervision of Daniel Foley, Kelly Kang, Lynn Milan, Kelly Phou, and Michael Yamaner, all at NCSES.
